Meet Brian Vaughn | Independent Insurance and Investment Advisor
Financial decisions are about more than numbers—they’re connected to life’s changes. I’m Brian Vaughn, the Life Changer behind Vaughn Life, providing a welcoming, pressure-free space for individuals and families to explore financial and insurance options.
You don’t need all the answers. If life has changed, let’s start the conversation.
Experience, Education, and a Commitment to Listening
I have been in business since 2007, giving me extensive real-world experience with the questions and decisions people encounter throughout different stages of life. I also hold an MBA in Finance from Arizona State University, which provides a strong educational foundation for the way I approach financial topics.
Education and experience matter, but I believe listening matters just as much.
Before discussing potential strategies, I want to understand your circumstances, priorities, concerns, and goals. There is no one-size-fits-all financial path because people do not live one-size-fits-all lives.
My approach is intentionally personal and relationship-driven. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, including the questions you may hesitate to ask elsewhere.
Why I Choose to Be a Life Changer
Traditional financial services can sometimes feel like they are designed primarily for people who already have significant wealth or understand complicated financial terminology.
I want Vaughn Life to feel different.
I work with everyday individuals and families, and there is no minimum financial requirement to start a conversation with me. You do not need to be a millionaire, have a large investment portfolio, or arrive with a detailed financial plan.
You may simply be wondering whether your current life insurance still fits your family. You may have recently married or welcomed a child. Perhaps you changed careers and are reconsidering your benefits and financial priorities. Maybe retirement is approaching, or an unexpected life event has made you think differently about the future.
Being a Life Changer means meeting you where you are and helping you explore the financial questions that can come with those moments.
My Focus on Insurance Planning
My primary focus is insurance planning and insurance-based financial solutions rather than traditional investment management.
Life insurance can play different roles depending on your circumstances. You may be considering coverage for the first time, reviewing an existing policy, exploring term life insurance or whole life insurance, or thinking about how insurance may support family protection, retirement considerations, business needs, or legacy goals.
I do not begin by assuming a particular insurance solution is right for you. I begin by asking questions.
What has changed? What are you trying to protect? What concerns you about the future? What goals are important to you?
Those conversations help create the context needed to explore appropriate options. My goal is to help you understand what you are considering so you can make informed decisions with greater confidence.
Financial Education Should Feel Approachable
Financial terminology can make straightforward questions feel unnecessarily complicated. I believe education should make financial decisions easier to understand, not harder.
That is why financial education is an important part of how I work.
I explain concepts in clear language and encourage you to ask questions throughout our conversations. You should feel comfortable saying that something does not make sense or that you want more time to understand an option.
There is no pressure to make an immediate decision simply because we have talked.
Sometimes the most useful outcome of a conversation is greater clarity. You may discover a planning need you had not considered, confirm that an existing approach still makes sense, or identify questions that require additional professional guidance.

Knowing When to Bring in Another Professional
Being helpful also means being clear about the scope of my work.
While broader financial and investment questions can arise during our conversations, my core practice centers on insurance planning and insurance-based strategies. When you need investment-specific recommendations , I partner with another licensed advisor who can address those needs.
This allows me to stay focused on my primary area of work while helping you connect with appropriate support when your financial situation extends beyond insurance planning.
The same principle applies when a situation calls for legal, tax, or another specialized form of professional advice. A thoughtful financial conversation should recognize when different areas of expertise need to work together.
Relationships Come Before Transactions
I am interested in building relationships, not creating pressure.
You should feel safe saying, “I’m not sure,” “I have more questions,” or “I need time to think.” Starting a conversation does not create an obligation to purchase anything or continue working with me.
I want Vaughn Life to be the place you think of when life changes and a financial question follows.
My hope is simple: even if you are unsure whether I can help, you feel comfortable enough to ask.
